Has Anyone Apostilled Documents Before?

I'm planning to apostille my degree and criminal record check soon at a Service Canada location; is there anything I should bring with me?

For example, do I need to bring my passport or is my driver's licence sufficient? Do I have to book an appointment online or can I just walk in and get it done?
