Seeking guidance for launching a small textile collection featuring my original seamless patterns
Hey there! I've been creating some awesome seamless patterns (mainly using Procreate) and I'm ready to level up.
I'm considering a couple of options:
- Offering my designs to textile companies through licenses or freelance partnerships.
- Producing physical goods like towels, robes, or mugs featuring my unique prints, preferably by collaborating directly with manufacturers.
- Exploring Print on Demand services or setting up my own website like Fourthwall or Redbubble...
Has anyone dabbled in something similar?
- How have you connected with manufacturers willing to fulfill custom print orders with low minimum quantities?
- Can independent artists realistically license pattern designs without representation?
- Any pointers on pricing, contracts, or which platforms to kick things off with?
I'm all ears for any advice or personal experiences. Much appreciated. Thanks!
