New hunger cues?
My son has recently turned 11wo and I have noticed that all his usual hunger cues from when he was little have disappeared and I’m struggling to see his new ones. He used to root around, stick out his tongue, occasionally suck his hands and when kissed on the cheek he would turn into the kiss. The only one of those that still remains is the kiss on the cheek. His hands are always in his mouth at the moment as I believe we’re heading into teething land, he doesn’t root anymore, and I don’t see his tongue bobbing out anymore due to the hands! We also used to put our clean finger in his mouth and see how aggressively he would suck, but this also does not see to work anymore. He’s not a big crier so I don’t even get the “neh” sound as a cue from him when crying. I’ve been looking for over a week now to find his new ones but I’m at a loss for them. I’m currently feeding on a rough timer every 3 hours, which has always been typical for him, but I would usually see the cues as well to be sure.
Has anyone else experienced a change in hunger cues and what did they change to?
