Smell of gas?

So I was driving through a forests earlier and I had the windows down, ac on, and driving very slowly. Shortly after I noticed a faint smell of gasoline. I'm a new driver so idk if that's normal or not. I'm just worried about a fire starting. I went to autozone and got some coolant and had someone help me put it in and he said that my coolant level was normal. Is it fine or should I get it looked at somewhere?
