Quitting CoinPoker after 2 years – Final straw this week
I’ve been playing on CoinPoker for about two years now. I’m not someone who complains easily, but after what happened this week, I feel like I have to speak up.
I made the final table of two €200 tournaments as chip leader – both times. And both times, the same infuriating pattern happened: As soon as the final table started, I couldn’t win a hand. Every time I picked up a strong hand, it ran into a cooler. Every flip went the wrong way. It honestly felt like I was cursed the second real money was on the line.
But here’s the thing – this isn’t the first time. I’ve reached plenty of final tables on CoinPoker over the last two years, and this exact pattern keeps repeating. As soon as I get to a final table, especially with a big stack, it’s like I can’t win anymore. Strong hands get cracked, good spots turn into disasters, and it all feels way too consistent to chalk up to normal variance.
I know poker has downswings. I know bad beats happen. But this feels different. It doesn’t feel natural anymore, and it’s drained all the fun out of the game for me.
So yeah, I’m done with CoinPoker. I’ve had solid results on other platforms where the gameplay feels more balanced and less… scripted. Just wanted to share my experience in case others have noticed similar patterns. Good luck out there – and trust your gut if something feels off.
