Aolion K-10 & XBOX one

I’m not tech savvy and my writing skill are probably less than satisfactory for most. So ya know out of the gate my give a crap switch broke some time ago so poking fun at me is useless. Just an FYI Anyways I’m having issues getting my Aolion K-10 controller to be visible to my XBox 1. I can see that it is in fact paired because neither the console or the controller are blinking yet the Xbox is not responding to any of the buttons. Any help is appreciated and this is probably a no brainer for a lot of yall. I even asked my 20yo PC gamer son to help me and he couldn’t figure it out. Hands are in the air it may be taking a ride back to where I purchased it. Thanks for any assistance.
