AITAH - I told my parent to not bother visiting my family (young kids+spouse) due to it being too short of a visit and a burden.
- My parent sends me and my spouse a text with a picture showing a plane ticket with arrival and departure 10 days apart.
- They told me they were going to be visiting and asked if my family (spouse + young kids) would be available, I said yes.
- They then replied about how they will be only staying three days so that they can go FLY out and visit other family elsewhere, then come back but hop on a plane to return home same day.
- The days they would be staying would be a Sunday thru Wednesday morning, so basically only one weekend day, and the rest when we are all busy with things (work + daycare). The parent isnt good about taking care/giving the kids attention so we prefer them just sticking to their normal activities.
- Whenever they visit it feels like a burden to us, so we just felt it wasnt worth it for that short amount of time and/or inconvenient time given the weekdays, so i told my parent to not bother visiting.
- They barely ever pay any attention to the kids, they are rude always talking on their phone and loud about it, snore, and plays like they are clueless about how to feed themselves.
