How was everyone's Pride 2025 experience?
Would love to see and hear all the fun and exciting stories that you guys have!
I've decided to skip Pride this year to do some self-reflection. I've just been recently terminated from my first-ever fulltime job here in Canada, and I've been busying myself with job-hunting, and I've just been trying to pick-up the pieces, in general. On days that I'm not out job-hunting nor going for a swim or hitting the gym, I just cry a bit in my room, so as to decompress from all the stress. I just want my overthinking to stop overthinking, even for just a day! 🤣😩 It's a struggle being an immigrant on a work permit, and having to deal with all the big, scary, adult stuff and responsibilities all on your own, and away from your family.
In my almost three years of being here in Canada, I've made a few friends, and I'm in the process of broadening my social circle. But here I am, still standing, and just trying to put myself out there more to find more meaningful platonic and romantic relationships. As they say, "the horrors persist, but so do I!" 🤣✊️🏳️🌈
