Feeling discouraged

I had my ACDF on the 16th. I am still in tremendous pain to my trapezius muscles and to the area adjacent to my right scapula. Pain meds and muscle relaxers help but I wanted badly to be off of the meds by now. Is this unusual to be in so much pain 2 weeks out from surgery? I have a very high pain tolerance and this just seems crazy. I’m scared I made the biggest mistake of my life by doing this.
