[CHAT] Question about 11x11 Q-Snap?

Let me start this by identifying myself as an idiot.

I was the proud owner of 2 Q-snaps. I got rid of said Q-Snaps, because I swapped to the Nurge frames.

Anywho, I now have a project that I feel would be better on a Q-Snap, as it is a large-ish peice. I am looking to buying a new Q-Snap, but am stuck between the 8x8 with extenders, or just the 11x11. This is where my question comes in, on my old 11x11, I remember there being a seam at the 8in ish point of one of the sides, does the frame actually come apart at the seam, or is sealed? I don't remember is I tested this when I had mine.

Really, I just wanna save a few bucks, if the 11x11 comes apart, but just buying the 8in clasps. Instead of the 8x8 and then the extenders.
