How far away are we from AI producing content? Is it already happening?

I am sure most of you have seen the gorilla AI videos popular in current video media. Of course it needs a human touch to curate. I’m wondering though, how far away are we from an AI being able to do the curation? Basically, tell agent that you would like it to use some platform to create videos, with the theme of “squirrel has adventures” - or be as detailed as you want. Then, this agent can start creating the content, and releasing it on platform.

I’ve been seeing these gorilla videos and they pump them out at an incredible speed. It got me thinking, what if an AI itself was doing the prompts to generate the videos? And then not just one so agent, but thousands? The content generated would be endless, maybe slop, maybe some winners. Is something like that possible? It has implications no?
