Question about hammer handle length

So I am getting into blacksmithing I have all the things to set up, but I'm just curious what is your opinion on length of the handle on your primary forging hammer. mine is 10 inches for a 2 pound cross peen, although my first hammer was the 3lb harbor freight cross peen that I did some modifications to to make it a bit more comfortable and to make less marks on the work and it has an about 13.75 inch handle
