Has anyone here had trouble with their fine hair becoming stiff and hard after using hair dye?

My hair is fine, medium density and curly (3bc). I had the dyed in salon to cover my grey hair about a month ago. Since I had it done, my strands feel think, hard and rough. I'm not quite sure what to do about it. The grey has already turned into a brassy orange shade....

I really miss my normal hair texture it was a lot easier to style and was soft to the touch. Not it looks rough whenever I blow dry it and if I air dry it my curls won't form the way they use too.

Has anyone had this happened? Does it get better with time or is my hair completely damaged?
