Met my girlfriend at a secret, abandoned park. Anyone else done something similar?

So, I was tired of the whole dating app scene. Profiles, endless swiping, ghosting...blah. A friend suggested we meet up at this abandoned playground I knew about – totally secret location. It was super awkward at first, tbh, but we ended up chatting for hours and then going out a few times after that. It felt way more genuine, less about looks and profiles and more about personality. We've been together for six months now and its been way better than any of those dating apps. Anyone else done something similar to meet someone? Think I'm crazy? Lol
