Non alcoholic beer - what’s the deal?

been sober for 6 months and the only “ indulgence” has been na beer ( love the athletics)

One store I went to carded me to buy it. Today I was at Fenway Park and they carded me there too. I asked the guy why? and he said because there is alcohol in it. the can is labeled “non alcoholic“ there was nothing on the can saying it contains alcohol.

I always kind of chuckle to my self and think it would be interesting to drive with one of these beer - especially if I got pull over.

so what is the deal with NA beer? why are they carding people? could I get arrested for drinking and driving if I had one open while driving?
