The Bourne Series!

I am on the second book of the bourne series by Robert Ludlum and am loving the fast paced spy thriller that these are. My question is, I see the writer changed after The Bourne Ultimatum. Is Eric Van Lustbader's written bourne books equally good as Robert Ludlum? TIA 💕
