Struggling to write a scene where someone is broken out of lab

I’ve been stuck at this one scene in my story for a while now and I don’t know how to resolve it. MC is trying to break into this facility (like the one Eleven grew up in Stranger Things) to rescue someone. I know how to get her in but I have no idea how to make her rescuing them interesting. Do I just have the character wander until she happens to stumble upon them? She doesn’t know specifically where the person is.

I’ve probably made this whole thing more complicated than it needs to be and just need an outside pov to easily resolve it.
