This is my 29 gallon tank I got on Facebook marketplace with all of the substrate and plants. It was essentially ready to go, minus the water. I treated my water and added a few more floating plants, waited a few days, tested my water, and got some fish. It’s been a few weeks. So far I have 3 male tequila sunrise guppies, 3 peppered corydoras, a pleco, and a colony of pest snails (they came buried in the substrate). Today I added 3 black mollies and 2 blue gilled platys.

How does it look? What else, if anything, should I add? I now realize corydoras should be in groups of 6 or more, so I preferably would like to get 3 more, but I don’t want to overload the tank. I would also love more guppies or maybe some shrimp, but I don’t know how much more the tank can hold in terms of fish/creatures. Any advice is appreciated!

Also, should I clear any of that algae in the middle of the tank behind the rock? My pleco spends his daylight hours hiding in there where I can’t see him, and he comes out at night. Does it make the tank look dirty? It is harmful? Should I cut back any of the plants?

This is only my second ever tank, the first being in high school. Thank you in advance!
