First HYROX singles in Singapore, is it normal for it to be this congested?

I just did my first singles, I bombed in the heat and I also ate a penalty coz I missed a run lap, so I don't really care about my time, but damn the course was so clogged.

I had to wait to enter sled pull and wall balls. They said my time would be credited but I think they skipped the time I was waiting for the former (it was hectic as). It felt like I waited ages on the pull, and my time was 6:00 (for reference, push time was just over 2:00, and it didn't burn me out). In the end, I was credited 00:43, which feels like the time I was waiting for wall ball.

Most frustratingly of all were the burpees. I would have happily gone at a slow, consistent step up burpee pace. I got stuck behind a row of people who were just... Stopped. And then the odd person who would cut you off and then... Stop.

Again, this was my first one and I was just getting my feet wet. But the next one I do I'd like to target a goal time.

I'm now worried it's not worth it, because a lot of it is left up to chance. It would be a shame to train for a goal, travel all that way, pay all that money, to not even have a shot because of course congestion.

Thoughts/reassurances?
