I desperately need hope that capitalism won't kill the ocean. Please?

NSFWQuestion

Hello again. I'm sorry for polluting your subreddit. Last night I was lethally fearing for the health of the oceans and, more specifically, the health of coral. Every progressive place I could find, when asked, seemed to unanimously agree that the corals, all marine life, and all of nature as a whole was irreversibly dying and doomed to extinction within our lifetime. That in essence we live on a hospice planet, and before I even hit middle age I will begin living on a dead planet. Not to blame anyone for my actions, my mental health is my responsibility and my responsibility alone, but reading and feeling all that sent me into the worst OCD spiral of the year, and even made me relapse into self harm...

I need some hope. I need to know that people can fix this. That people can let nature stall and adapt and survive until capitalism and pollution falls and the climate crisis ends. There has to be hope. Not denialism. Not doomerism. Real hope. Hope that these issues will pass and corals, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, sponges, turtles, cnidarians, cetaceans, echinoderms, the ocean, the land animals, the trees, nature will all survive, one day thrive once more, and ultimately be ok in the end... I can't cope with living on a hospice planet. I can't cope without corals. Without marine life. I cried so hard I screamed today. I beat myself till I bruised and collapsed. I tasted blood. I can't experience that again

I can't experience a hospice ocean
