Looking for someone to teach me alterations

Long story short, I'm learning how to make clothes. I've made a few things but can't wear them yet because....they need somewhat complicated alterations, and im at my wits end. I could just have someone alter them for me, as one option. But ultimately I want to find someone who I can shadow to help me learn how to do these future adjustments. Ive always been a learn by doing kind of learner so learning via the internet has been challenging, with regard to alterations. Does anyone here know of anyone i might be able to shadow/apprentice with? Perhaps an approachable tailor/seamstress you've worked with in the past that does great work that I could contact and see if this is something they'd do? An auntie or an uncle who sees and knows their way around making alterations? Willing to pay for some kind of lesson arrangement.
