Thoughts on buying a vivomove Sport in July 2025?

This model has the right feature mix at the right price for my mother. But it's an older model.

How many years does Garmin usually support older watches? The official page says the last security update was in 2024. But the watch will continue to work with the latest version of Garmin Connect right?

Anything else to consider?
