[PC] [2014-2017] open world life simulation game run by players

i remember seeing an announcement for a new game back around 2015 or 2016 there was even a trailer but idk if it ever actually released i thought it was called something like "life" but i cant find anything like that. basically a real life open world simulator where you can choose to have whatever role you want like a police officer, or a burglar. you can hunt, buy a house and decorate it, buy a car and customize it. there were shops to buy everything from there was this townhall area and it was all completely run by players no npcs as far as im aware
