Worried I have colon cancer

Physician Responded

43F. Having ongoing symptoms (past few months that have me concerned I may have colon cancer:

-bloating that doesn't go away -constipation -recently-thin mushy reddish brown stool -feeling incomplete bowel movement -persistent stomach pain and lots of gurgling

I've had digestive issues for 20 years that I've just lived with-mainly severe bloating that was typically triggered by drinking alcohol, anything carbonated, and sometimes fried food. When that first developed, I did a battery of tests including a colonoscopy and endoscopy which found nothing.

I have a colonoscopy and endoscopy scheduled in a couple weeks. My anxiety is getting the better of me. Adding to my stress-I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer less than a year ago (had my thyroid removed earlier this year). That experience really shook any feeling of security and assuming I would have a long life. I have no family history I know of for any cancer and I've always been generally healthy.
