Blood in stool? Period pain?

Hi, This is my first post and I have been searching on here for a while. Back in April I went to urgent care because I was super dizzy. They did a finger prick and my hemoglobin was at a 10.3. The dr came in and said I was most likely bleeding internally. So of course that freaked me out. He referred me to gi and then he did a stool test. He did a blood fecal occult test..he basically stuck his finger in to get a stool sample. It came back positive for blood in my stool. He said it could be hemorrhoids or an anal fissure. I have super bad health anxiety and I asked him right away can it be colon cancer?! He said probably not, but he can’t say no.

Fast forward to 3 weeks after, I had my iud taken out. I had it in for 5 years and didn’t have my period for 2 years. I was super bloated all the time and I couldn’t lose weight. I really think it was from that. I have had my period on and off since it has been out. It has been really heavy too. About 3 weeks ago I went to er because I had really bad pain in my upper right abdomen, and I thought I found a moveable lump. Er said it was gastritis and sent me on my way. They did lab work and everything was fine.

I went to my gi appointment before all of this and the gi said it’s most likely a false positive for the stool test, but he can’t be sure unless I have a colonoscopy. The gi did say I could wait 4 months, do labs and see if my hemoglobin dropped at all. I did have labs done the next day after urgent care and they were all fine. So the finger prick was wrong they said. I have never seen blood in my stool at all and since all of this it has made me feel crazy! I constantly check to make sure there isn’t any. I am to the point where I think I am seeing things.

When I get my period now I have a bad pain in my upper right abdomen. It comes and goes when I am on my period. Has anyone dealt with any of this? Looking for some help to ease me with my anxiety to hold me over to my colonoscopy.
