Should i go for the New 3DS or the regular 3DS?

so i plan to buy a 3DS so i can play all DS and 3DS games and Homebr;ew it, should i really buy the NEW 3DS or go for the old one (i never had a DS family console ever) should i go for the expensive new one or for the more reasonable regular one ?
