‘Happy pills’ and quitting weed

I was just curious if anyone that quit weed has tapered down or got off their happy pills . For context I’ve been smoking for 30 years, 15 of that was heavy use. I went on medication about 15 years ago and now part of me is wondering if the weed itself was responsible for making me depressed and anxious. Anyone have experience with this? TIA
