Advice needed on which tent to buy!

I’m sold! But I’m not sure on which tent yet lol

I usually backpack with friends/family, but I’m also getting into solo backpacking a little bit. My friends all have tents, so I don’t necessarily need to be the tent provider on group trips, but it would be nice to have the option. I often take day hikes from a base camp, and I sometimes want to take my hiking poles along (though usually just one if I’m hunting). I often camp in rocky areas and snow.

I’ve used a 2P REI tent for years because it’s comfy for one or two people and functions great. The only reason I’m changing tents is because of weight. My current tent is like 4.8lbs.

So my question is, based on your experiences, which tent would you recommend for my use? Would the X Dome 2P be too cold for one person, given its size? Would the 1+ be super uncomfortable to share with a friend? Is the X Mid a bad choice if I want to use my hiking poles without fully breaking down camp?
