‘Co-Parenting’ agreement..
Dad to be here. Baby is almost here, and the mother has presented a ‘co-parenting plan’ that’s incredibly one-sided, and basically strips me of all rights, and ability to see my child UNLESS I act as help in a ‘supportive role’ ie: house chores, watching her other kid, running errands. And if I at all disagree, or she finds the environment ‘destabilizing’, she can unilaterally ‘pause the support’. Ie: kick me out until she says I can come be around my kid again.
She says this is just a ‘foundation’ and not a final agreement and invites my opinion…
I did not respond. I feel like anything I say can and will be held against me. Twisted, reframed, and weaponized.
This is my first child. She doesn’t even want me in the delivery room because she claims that it essential to her ‘nervous system regulation’ that I’m not there.
Meaning I can’t even watch my child take his first breath..
This is incredibly hard and very unfair and I have been struggling with how to proceed .
