Used or new? Hybrid or gas? I live on rough dirt
Title pretty much says it all but for the last couple weeks, I’ve been torn between what vehicle to get.
My wife needs a new car (we have two toddlers) and her Kia sedan with 80k miles has got demolished by the mile of dirt road We have to drive up to even after bad storms and all of the above. My Tesla model three has 70 K miles on it and has also taken quite a beating, but I have had zero issues with the battery or anything at all whatsoever. It handles the road just fine.
My concern and question is do I get the gas awd RAV4 so that way there’s not as many expensive complex parts like the hybrid has due to the bumpy jittery road and possibly ruining some of the hybrid electronics and all that or do you guys think the hybrid will be just fine? I’m pretty much worried about reliability.
I want to keep this vehicle for 10 to 20 years we like to go camping a few times a year and love nature. My wife drives about roughly under 20 K miles a year. Based on your guys experience and knowledge of RAV4’s in the hybrid, what would you guys recommend me doing? Thank you if you’ve read this far.
