7-day negativity fast
Forward the below as an email: Hi everyone, I've been thinking a lot lately about how much negativity we encounter daily, often without even realizing it. From the constant stream of upsetting news to heated sports debates and even just casual complaints, it can really weigh us down.
So, I had an idea: what if we all tried a "Negativity Fast" for one week? My thought is that for seven days, we consciously abstain from consuming or dwelling on anything negative. This could mean avoiding the news, especially stories with violence or conflict, taking a break from sports if the competitive drama stresses you out, or even just making an effort to reframe our thoughts and conversations to be more positive. Imagine how much lighter and more present we might feel by the end of the week. This isn't about ignoring serious issues, but rather about creating a mental space where we can feel more peace and gratitude. I'm inviting you to join me on this little experiment.
If this resonates with you, please feel free to forward this email to anyone else you think might benefit or want to participate. Let's see if we can start a positive chain reaction! I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences if you decide to jump in.
