Personal opinions on 2025?

I’m considering a car upgrade, I have a 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan that’s starting to wear out. My primary concern is reliability. I’ve been researching Honda and Toyota, I liked the CRV but there are a couple things that I don’t like that the Cross does better (XLE model). I did a test drive today, it definitely feels kind of sluggish on acceleration and I don’t like how the rear view mirror takes up a huge chunk of the front window view, those are my primary dislikes. I did test drive the RAV4 as well, I’m just not sure that I need that space, especially for another 10k. Reading through this form I’m seeing a lot of comments about sluggishness and the roof rack issue (ugh). Reading through CRV posts I don’t see nearly as many complaints so I’m wondering, do you like your car? Any regrets or feedback? Hybrid won’t work for my driving style, I work from home and don’t drive a ton, and my driving is almost exclusively freeway (dealers have said both that it’s best on long distances and not worth it for distances, so that’s helpful).
Also would be interested in any feedback on what kind of deal you got, Honda dealer was desperate and came down quite a bit, Toyota is still just trying to sell me all the extras.
