New spike glitch ?

Listen, I was playing Edgar in Brawl Ball when a Spike, using his Mythic Gear, threw his Super on a Rico. Rico became permanently slowed after that, even after Spike's Super was gone. I'm not sure which Star Power Rico was using, but Spike's Super seemed to override whatever made Rico fast, making him permanently slowed. I was going to record it, but I forgot!

Any ideas how this can happen?
