Wedding Guest Invite Number Formula

Hello everyone,

We are wedding planning and I'm trying to find a formula that will give me a sum of the guests for "Definite" inviting + # in Party and another for "Maybe" inviting + # in Party, so we can have a headcount of the "Definite" invite list. The top # for invite guest includes all the numbers in the "# in Party" column (includes the maybes).

I've tried the =COUNTIF(column, "definite") but it only gives me number of definite which doesn't include the # in party.
