(Not a real fic, but here we go)

There was a question that burned in the minds of man for as long as they walked the land of their home.

"Could you eat it?"

A question that runs through everyone's mind at times, but most importantly, **when they starve.** She was without food, lost inside a forest and feeding off of what little the brush had to offer. Blake Belladonna wandered aimlessly, searching for that elusive escape from her misfortune.

"'It'll be fun." Ruby said, "Thirty minutes, tops." Ruby said. It's been almost four days.

There was no pond for fish, nor low tree for a bird, and no animal that saw her stayed in place. The only things that were a constant were the Grimm that would prey on her without stop. No rest, no food, no water, no place to hide and no place to run.

The huntress falls to her knees, her sleep depraved eyes feeling heavy. The nature laughs at her, and the Grimm close in.

And that's when limits *break*.

With lips turned upwards and ragged breathing, the cat faunus gives into primal nature. She ditches her weapon and attacks the nearest Grimm with her own claws. With a desperation for sustunance, she bites into the blackened flesh of a creature that can't bleed.

It...

Was...

**Euphoric.**

Inhibitations melted away as she feasted on something that she used to fear. It screamed for it still drew breath, but she continued to consume. When she reached the other end of the ribs, it dusted away into the ashen it was once born from.

Blake stays kneeling, she smiled and wiped her mouth. A proper meal. And one that tasted better than any fish could ever hope to. She laughed, the sound different to the quiet forest. She turned her head, golden eyes glowing as she spotted another Grimm, an Ursa, staring at her.

Eyes of silver, lilac and sky are met with a sight of something they hoped for; their friend, alive and.... well? No. Gone. Her arms and chin covered in blackened ash, eyes of gold reduced to ivory, and a maw full of Grimm flesh. Her hunched posture and mannerism of an unbound feline give a sense of dread to the party of three. She stares curiously at her friends, a ray of recognition shooting across her features. Their fear of her state drives her to speak for once in the weeks she's been lost for, her voice raspy but carrying a hint of play.

"My friends, you needn't worry, I am fine." Her smile waves at her leader's tears. "Ruby? What's wrong?"

"I was just **hungry.**"

Hungry, hungry huntress... (Art by djlemmiec on deviantart)
