$100K minimum - common?

Went to a Rolex AD in Newport this past week, and the sales associate mentioned to me that there was $100K minimum spend at the store in order to “unlock access”.

In contrast, a family friend mentioned that he just gets offered Rolexes at his AD in Palo Alto without the requirement for any minimum spend.

Which is more common?
