Running speaker wire from amp to speakers

So quick background I’m installing kicker door speakers in front and rear along w an EPIC 4 channel amp into my 3rd gen 4runner. Speakers are already in. Also already have an aftermarket radio installed.

Was wondering if instead of running the speaker wire through the door from the amp, if I could connect them from the other end of the speaker wires where they connect to the head unit?
