3rd Gen Honda Pilot Question

My wife and I are planning to start a family soon and we found out from having someone's rear facing car seat that our big vehicle now ('24 Kia Sportage) would be quite problematic with a rear facing car seat...notably with a toddler rear facing seat. To the point no adult could fit in the front passenger seat with the car seat behind it.

I was interested in Honda Pilot's, but I was a bit surprised to see the legroom of a '22 Honda Pilot was listed as worse compared to a '24 Sportage. My hunch is this has to do with the third row, but in past third row vehicles I have been in you can basically slide the second-row seat and basically rob third row leg room to greatly increase it...is that the case with a Spot/Special Edition Pilot?
