Has anyone had their HGB increase, but not their ferritin?

I was at 13.7 HGB in February and 9 ferritin in March of this year. I’ve been taking iron ever since working my way up to 75ml of elemental iron per day. My concern is that it will go to the HGB (even though mine was normal) first before building up stores or not affecting my stores much. Has anyone had their HGB increase without their ferritin moving?
