Lots of false moves on weekends these days.. (but not too uncommon in crypto). Cryptos did a pretty good run since the CME open today. Ethereum had about 3.75% run in about 3 hours. Took a relatively aggressive Ethereum trade even though half of the analysis is on Bitcoin, because Ethereum looks weaker.

This is a very simple idea trade. I do see it as a bit risky. So much liquidity to the top still. But, based on several confluences still.. (I'm not trading on just 1 or 2 confluences). My actual SL is based on BTC price action. If I see BTC sweep 110.6k+ (about +2% away from here), I see that as very bullish, and likely to make ATH. My thesis is this is a bull trap, essentially.

1. Bitcoin hit the value area high of the range from May 23 high to June 22 low, at about 109.2k (CME value). Short the resistance/long the support kind of deal.

2. Liquidity sweep (or rather nick); it doesn't need to sweep. Often, I'd like to see a clean sweep but sometimes the chart doesn't offer it (meaning this is a bit of an aggressive entry)

3. Filled a very small fair value gap 109,555 (CME values)

4. Overall medium-time downward trend, HTF downward trend, on both BTC and ETH. ETHBTC chart looks weaker (again, I would've liked to see a rejection at value area low but can't have it all). Ethereum couldn't even get back into the range like Bitcoin did. If I'm going to short, I'd rather short the weaker coin.

5. On ETH, made higher high on less open interest, less CVD.

Short entry at 2504.54 on Eth. Let's see how it goes. Last picture is a [long trade I made almost exactly a week ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/Daytrading/comments/1li4a7v/dont_like_trading_on_weekends_but_the_pa_was_too/), also on a Sunday. Maybe it'll just be a series of Sunday swings. Who knows..

Don't like trading on weekends round #2 [1 trade; ETH] [swing short]
