Shout Out to O'Hare TSOs
I'm not a frequent flyer and O'Hare is not my home airport but yesterday (6/28) I was heading home from a train trip. A little nervous to not get it right, or impede anyone, on either side of the conveyor belt, I listened carefully, to instructions given to passengers ahead of me, so I could be ready to roll, when I reached the bins. I thought I'd done so well, single layer, laptop out, etc., but I'd totally forgotten my Kindle. A super nice agent was waiting for me after I got through the scanner backup. He explained, I apologized, the Kindle was retrieved and the bin was about to be rescanned, when he paused to hand me my shoes, and sling bag (purse). That little detail, of getting my shoes back and having my most important item (ID/money) with me was so above and beyond. Throughout the entire line/process, everyone was very nice. I hope all your passengers are equally nice back. Thanks again, Checkpoint 3!
