Returns to Popmart?

I had ordered a checkmate labubu (one with the heart) thinking my daughter would like it and apparently I was incorrect lol. I looked at Popmart's return page and it looks like they don't accept returns unless the item is defective...am I reading that correctly? Has anyone returned items to them before? I don't even have the item yet but showed her a pic of the item and she was clearly not a fan so I know I'll need to do something with it once it does arrive. If returning directly back to Popmart isn't an option...what would be the best thing to do?
