SMS Alternatives?

Slowly trying to remove Google from my daily workflow. I have a Galaxy S24 and currently use Google Messages for SMS. I recently tried switching to Textra but encountered issues with group texts (certain messages wouldn't appear in the thread). Not sure if this is an issue that stems for the group chat originally being created as RCS or not, or if it was just a problem with Textra. Anyway, I don't personally care if I have RCS or not, I just want something reliable that isn't Google.
