Beginner Tips? :)

Hi all, my boyfriend loves Overwatch 2 and I’ve watched him play for a while now and I ask questions about different heroes, their attributes, and basically how the game works. I have a good understanding of it all now and recently started playing! He mainly played as support and sometimes tank, so naturally I gravitated toward support heroes and I really like Moira and Lúcio, (but I’ve heard people don’t like him ?) Anyways I just wanted to ask for opinions and advice on starting the game when it’s been out for a while and most players are way better than I am. I’ve completely avoided damage because of the volume of damage players and skill it takes. I’m very familiar with FPS games like COD and others and am decent at them, not great but not terrible. I’ve been playing more frequently recently to hopefully get better but I’d thought I’d ask this subreddit on any tips and heroes that are generally easier to master than others, not just support, but tanks too!
