How bad did I get spoiled?

I have tried to avoid all spoilers for Death Stranding 2, but unfortunately got told that >!Tomorrow is Lou!< . I just reached the part where you meet her for the first time. How much of a surprise was spoiled? Is it a big deal that I know now?

Thanks in advance.
