Do you guys practice titration?

It seems like the only way to determine if something is safe, besides spending +$100 to send it to a mass spectrometry lab, is to dose yourself up from 0. Like mix a standard dose (hopefully you would know that atleast) into 1L of water; then volumetrically dose yourself with 50μg, then 30 minutes or so later try 100μg, then 200μg, 400μg, 800μg, 1.6mg and so on. Of course, test with marquis and fent strip or whatever else, but that only tells you what is not in it as opposed to what is in it. Especially in the case of opioids, who knows what zenes they’re cooking up, the only logical thing is to titrate like this.

Do you guys do that? Would you recommend any tweaks to my method? The longer the gap between doses, the safer it becomes. 30 minutes is probably risky, but what about 1 hour?
