Chance me UT Austin

Hi everyone. UT Law is my dream school. I grew up in Austin and I go to UT Austin for undergrad. I have a 3.99 GPA. I feel like my weakest area might be my LSAT. I took it for the first time in June and got a 165 but I was PTing in the 170s, so I’m gonna try to take it again in August and do better.

I am a KJD going into senior year. I currently work in a law firm, I’ve had a policy internship for a state agency, customer service job, and two other internships that weren’t law related. I’m also in one student fellowship.

I know a few professors that I feel like will write me really solid letter of recommendations and in addition I feel like I can write a really strong essay for UT specifically. (Im a sixth generation Austinite. My family migrated from Mexico and since than has worked really hard to pursue the American dream and Austin has always been our home.)

IF I can do better on the August LSAT and work my way into the higher 160s or low 170s, might I have a shot at UT?

I am applying early decision if that changes anything as well.

I’m the first (future) lawyer in my family and don’t have many people around me to ask these questions too so any feedback would be appreciated
