[LES] I just watched Speed Racer ('08) again and I'm not sure I've seen a more insane display of racing skill in media (Racer scaling???)

The final moments of Speed Racer 2008 are absolute batshit insanity. Speed is driving like a literal god on a track. At one point during the race he's driving (in reverse) down a like 70 degree incline while also dodging the wreckage of a car that is bouncing right next to him, swerving in and out of the way like he's slalum skiing. My man catches up to a pack of other racers like they're basically standing still. He comes at them in reverse, jumps over one that is trying to slam him, does a flip in midair and when he hits the track turns his car around like he's fucking hydroplaning and pops ahead of the pack with another jump. This man is on a whole other level.

In terms of pure skill, I think this sequence might be the peak that I've personally witnessed.

Also this is a slight advertisement of the '08 Speed Racer film. It's free on YouTube right now, so if you've got a few discord friends to grab and sit down for about 2 hours of insane fun, maybe give it a look.
