Why are people comfortable having sex in hotels, AirB&Bs, etc?

NSFW

I never understood the notion. Every time I read a Reddit post that mentions "consummating the marriage" in a hotel room or a movie/tv show that depicts sex somewhere besides a "Love Hotel" or their home, I just get grossed out. I don't understand how people can be comfortable with getting sheets stained or dirtied and knowing that they won't/cannot clean it. Or the idea of having sex knowing that someone's in the room next door.

Even if they stayed in an AirB&B and could completely clean up any mess even beyond sheets, and that they know for a fact that no one else would be around to hear them, it's still insane to me that people would be interested in having sex in a bed that they KNOW someone else will eventually sleep in.

Am I wrong for thinking this? Are there hotels (besides ones specifically for sex) that just... deep clean their beds and other areas with the idea that anyone could have had sex in it, even if there were no obvious signs? Is there a specific way that people are supposed to flag their rooms so people know that the room needs to be specially cleaned? Are there "signs" that Receptionists and other staff can clock that people are heading into a hotel with the intention of having sex?

No hate to anyone who does it btw, I know I'm the odd-one-out, I'm just generally confused and hoping that some kind of explanation can make me go "Oh! I see!" and then I don't get grossed out over the idea of sleeping on clean sheets that used to have cum on them.

(Also, I'm from the U.S., in case that gives important context.)
