Everyone is building TF wrong. He isn't just a gold card bot.

Discussion

I love how TF is being played in normal and pro-play again. However, right now the current core build is Rod of Ages -> Lich Bane -> Rapidfire cannon. The runes everyone taking right now is also Unsealed spellbook (I have no problem with this, but I do think people are sleeping on Electrocute + Resolve). This build forces TF into a gold card teamfighting bot, when TF's strength lies in splitting the map. The build I propose is straight up ap, Luden's -> Lich Bane -> Boots -> Rabadon or Zhonya -> Rabadon or Zhonya -> Banshee/Rapidfire cannon. TF has one of the strongest split pushing when he has alot of ap with lich bane. He can basically kill any turret in 2-3 w's. Twisted Fate's strength isn't split pushing... It's SPLITTING the map. He can force people to react to him split pushing, then immediately tp mid to engage. If no one respects his split pushing, he can get 1-2 turret/inhibs instead. You bring TP on top of that? You get 2 teleports. Imagine this scenario: Baron is up, you split push bot. You ping baron for your teammates to start baron. You ulti, and see enemy's positioning, and then ulti near or behind enemy adc. NORMAL circumstance, this should be enough to get baron or at least 1-2 kills off that play. If things go to shit, you can always back off from teamfight, and then teleport back bot to splitpush. You do SO much damage to turrets, it's insane. Try it out please, I beg. I understand Rod of Ages is more safety, and better "scaling" into mid game. However, that limits his playstyle and his strengths - ESPECIALLY building rapidfire cannon 3rd (no ap). I think building Rod of Ages is PERFECTLY fine if you have high damage comps from top, jungle, adc, and even supp. However Rod of Ages build in normal team comps just isn't enough damage, and he's defaulted into a gold card bot.

TLDR: Build Ap go brrr on turrets ---> Trick enemy team into jumping you --> tp away.
